    Hm. I think saying Vista is more user friendly than Linux is fairly subjective. Oh, except that there are studies that show it takes new computer users about ten times the amount to get to grips with Windows than it takes to learn how Linux works. They even have distros made just to look and function like Windows or OS X for the sake of familiarity, as well as giving you the benefits of using Linux. How does this equate to a more difficult experience? DELL sells Ubuntu computers- take a look.

    please help me i went to linux and downloaded it and burned it to a disk and the i rebooted my computer to try to make it work but it just wouldn’t what do i do?

    I remember how happy I was when I was able to get Mandrake to dial on demand when I connected to the internet. Up until then I had to connect manually.

    Of course, I have cable now, so that’s no longer an issue. Come to think of it, I had cable then too, but didn’t have a router, and I still had dial-up, so that’s what I used on my #2 machine.
